Day 2: Transfer to Akagera national park

You will be picked from your hotel in Kigali by the driver guide; then drive to the North – eastern part of Rwanda to the scenic Akagera National Park. Upon arrival in the park, have lunch and embark on an afternoon game drive which will reward with sightings of numerous wild animals, including Giraffes, Buffaloes, Spotted Hyenas, Elephants, Crocodiles, Hippos and countless species of birds. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Game drive and afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema

Have an early breakfast and head for morning game drive in the plains of Akagera national Park; spot various wild game, including elephants, Buffaloes, various species of Antelopes, Rhinos, and great deal of bird life. Return to the lodge for lunch and thereafter prepare for a boat cruise along Lake Ihema. Lake Ihema is a popular lake, and home to various aquatic animals, such as Hippos, crocodiles which are can be spotted at the Rwanda school of hippos and crocodiles, one of the recreation points along this lake. You will also be able to see other water dwellers such as abundant bird species and a variety of Reptiles. Retire for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: Transfer back to Kigali city & Departure

After a sumptuous breakfast at the lodge, drive back to Kigali through verdant country side and admire the extensive plains dotted with sparse settlements and plantations. On arrival, visit the Kigali genocide memorial site and other cultural sites in the area. You will have lunch and a short city tour in the evening and transfer to the airport for departure.
