Rhinos in Uganda can be observed in their natural habitat in Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary approximately two to three hours drive from Kampala. While here, we shall experience nature at its best as we have our lunch with the sanctuary’s endowment of different bird species and beautiful scenery. We shall then embark on a tour on the guided nature walk to see the only 19 Southern White Rhinos in the Wild in Uganda.
In 1980s due to including prolonged armed human conflict, poaching and the mismanagement of their natural habitat , the indigenous rhinos got extinct in Uganda until two rhinos male Kenyan and American female were bought in Uganda in 2004 hence the birth of the White Rhinos.
You will also be able to encounter paths with the Uganda Kob, Reed Bucks, Oribis, Hippos and Crocodiles. Later, we shall set off our journey back to Kampala.
